It’s been a little bit since I’ve blogged on here, but I wanted to share a big life update with you! I’m closing shop!
After 13 years of photographing families, couples, weddings, boudoir, maternity, and businesses, I’m feeling a shift in the tides. Through lots of prayer and consideration, I feel this is the best step for my family and I. Although it’s bittersweet, it feels like perfect timing to close this chapter and fully dive into all God has for me in motherhood.
In just a couple of months we will welcome our fourth baby into our home! We cannot wait! From homeschooling to caring for four small ones, it’s no simple task. I’m looking forward to slowing the hustle and enjoying this season to the fullest.
As I’ve meditated on motherhood in this culture we are living in, it has become more and more important to me to give all of my devotion to this calling. Christ has imprinted upon me His gospel love– the laying down your life for another. It isn’t the popular thing to do to imitate Him, sometimes not even the thing I want to do. But it’s the love of One who did this for me, that has changed my life completely. I’m just so in love with Him. It’s so easy to say yes to the laying down of anything when it’s for love.
So here I am, laying down my physical body to serve another once again in pregnancy. I’m laying down my own pursuits, because serving my family is the most worthy pursuit I can imagine. I’m laying down the hurry and striving and truly savoring my life. And I’m laying down my business, celebrating all that it’s meant to me for the last decade +.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the honor of capturing your memories and loved ones. I do not take it lightly and thank God for it always. Every single one of you has been prayed for. I’m so humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve you with my photography. Thank you.
